1 Corinthians 15:19-26 – As in Adam, So Also in Christ

WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.

PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Lord God Almighty, I have no reason to fear death thanks to you and the Savior you sent for me. Let me hear your proclamation and proof today that Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death and has freely given me the victory. Let my voice ring out in song as I praise you and wonderful works, especially the resurrection of my Redeemer. In his name I praise you with all my heart, O God. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

EASTER BREAKFAST

The church is having an Easter Breakfast between services today from 7:15-9:00 am. Head on down, grab some wonderful food, and enjoy some blessed fellowship!

THANK YOU

The PACE (Partners Active in Christian Education) Committee would like to thank all the members of the congregation for their generosity towards our annual bake sale. The Easter Egg Hunt is our biggest event, but we also have used these funds to host a Back to School Bash, have a family tubing night at Fort McCoy, participate in a mini-field trip to The Art Room in Bangor, and also host a St. Paul’s family movie night! We look forward to providing more opportunities for our students as well as children in the community. We feel truly blessed to be a part of such a supportive congregation. Thank you!

HOW WE GOT THE BIBLE

Our next midweek Bible study series is called How We Got the Bible. The story of the Bible has been called “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” But did you ever wonder where the Bible came from? Who wrote it? Why did they write it? Who decided which books to include? In this study, Dr. Paul Maier travels to The Bible Museum in Goodyear, Arizona, to take a look at how we got the Bible.

QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING

Our next quarterly voters’ meeting will be Sunday, April 7, at 11:15 am, in the church basement.

LWMS SPRING RALLY

The LWMS Spring Rally will be held on Saturday, April 13, at English Lutheran Church, 741 N. East Avenue, Viroqua, WI. Registration will begin at 12:30 pm with the program starting at 1:00 pm. The guest speaker for the rally will be Chad Marohn, principal of Cornerstone Lutheran High School in Eau Claire, WI. This is a new high school for area youth. Principal Marohn will be speaking about the development and current status of the high school and the role it plays in the community. We look forward to hearing about this new endeavor. A light luncheon will be served following the business meeting.
