Lord God, I need your guidance and care every day. Hear my cry for help and for your leadership. Lift up my eyes to see the various ways you make your leadership evident, including how you send shepherds to guide and care for me. A heartfelt thank you to the individuals who generously gave their time and energy to help move classroom items to the gym last Wednesday. Their willingness to lend a hand helped complete a big job much faster and easier. A reminder that the gym to classrooms move will be happening on June 24th at 6:00pm. LWMS CONVENTION
The 63rd Annual LWMS Convention will be held June 25-28 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison. This is an opportunity to hear updates about home and mission projects as well as inspirational mission stories. The convention opens and closes with worship services and devotions are held daily. The Convention workshops include: “Hope for a Church Starting Over”; “Shining Christ’s Light Across Borders”; “In the Lion’s Den—The Joy of Ministering to College Students”; “Christ-centered Healthcare in Rural Kenya-Central Africa.” Fees: Adults-$300 for the full convention Or Sat and Sun only- $200. MEN’S RETREAT
Our 18th annual Men’s Retreat, organized by men from Twin Cities area WELS churches, will take place at Camp Croix on September 18-20, 2026. This year’s theme is “Here I Stand: Lutherans find their voice in Christian apologetics.” There are reasons that Lutherans have been quiet in the area of Christian apologetics. But there are even bigger reasons for us to break the silence, given what we uniquely see and understand about arguing for Christ in this skeptical world. Together, we will explore the What and the How of Christian apologetics so as to grow in confidence for our own sake, for the sake of those who do not know Jesus, and for the sake of the most vulnerable among us.
