1 Samuel 7:7-13 – Thus far. the Lord has helped us

WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.

TODAY’S WORSHIP THEME
As we look forward to the Last Day, we don’t just look forward to the righteous judgment of our God. We also look forward to the life we’ll have with him forever. Multitudes are already triumphant and experiencing that life right now, all thanks to the triumphant victory of Christ. With such assurances, we praise God today that Christ will come back and bring to us, his elect, the everlasting blessings of his life, death, and resurrection.

In the 10:00 am service today, we will also praise God for working these blessings through the 45-year ministry of Richard Bakken Jr. God be praised for calling faithful servants in his name to help strengthen his people to eternal life!

FAITH EDIFYING (BIBLE STUDY) CONTINUES

Sunday School and Bible Study: God keeps his promises.

Midweek Bible Study (Tues., 7pm; Wed. 9am): Right Questions, Wrong Answers: World Religions

CELEBRATION OF MINISTRY FOR MR. BAKKEN

Today, Sunday, Nov. 14, at 11:30 am, we will gather together to thank the Lord of the Church for blessing and allowing Mr. Bakken to begin his 45 years of service with a reception and meal in the school gym. Those wishing to bring greetings, recall memories, or any other special words may do so. A card box will be available or greetings may be emailed to Dick at rebakkenjr@gmail.com.

FRUIT SALE

There will be a fruit sale in the church basement in between services. The fruit sale is the annual fundraiser for Luther’s music department. There will be a Luther music student in the basement to take orders between services through November 14 or people interested can contact Josh Stratman, Micah Gray, or Michael Lazzaretti.

VOTERS’ MEETING FOR PRINCIPAL CALL November 15, 7:00 pm

On Monday, November 15, at 7:00 pm, we will be having a voters’ meeting to extend a call for principal and grades 7-8 teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. We will meet in the church basement. 15

HOW CAN I SHARE MY FAITH?

Beginning this Tuesday and Wednesday, November 16 & 17, we’ll be holding evangelism studies during our midweek Bible study time. The first workshop is a study entitled One by One. One by One is a Bible study based on Pastor David Rosenau’s keynote presentation at the WELS National Conference on Lutheran Leadership in January of 2020. Using powerful personal stories and drawing from his wealth of experience both as a detective and a parish pastor, Pastor Rosenau helps Christians understand why it is so important to see every soul as a treasure and why we want to be willing to spend the time and effort necessary to share the gospel with each one.

GOOD STEWARD

Good Steward Resale Shop is looking for volunteers to help with tasks around the store. If you can help by giving 2 or 20 hours per week for Christ-centered Lutheran education, call Lisa at 608-779-9763. They are also hiring for the positions of store coordinator and warehouse worker. Interested parties may obtain a job description and an application form at the store or by calling 608-784-5035.

LIVE NATIVITY HELP

The Live Nativity event is planned, and preparation is already underway. Setup continues at Riverside Park this Saturday from 9am-5pm. Rotary provides lunch. Many hands make light work! Please come for any amount of time you can spare. If needed we may have to do the Friday morning after Thanksgiving as well, since that is opening night. Please check the Live Nativity Riverside-Diorama Facebook page for any updates! Questions? Call George Italiano 608-317-0271.

CHURCH DIRECTORY

Our church directory is over 10 years old. We need to update it. We believe that with modern technology, obtaining photographs and setting up the layout can be done on our own. We are looking for a committee of volunteers who would be willing to help coordinate, design and update the church directory. If you would like to serve on that committee, please contact Jeff Parr at 608-292-4044.

CAMM MONTHLY LETTER

You can find copies of November’s Central Africa Medical Mission letter in the narthex. 16

CHURCH WIFI

The church building now has its own dedicated Wi-Fi for streaming our services. We hope this will strengthen our ability to stream not only worship services but also Bible studies in the near future. This also means we’re able to offer a separate guest Wi-Fi signal for attendees of Bible studies, meetings, etc. Check out the guest Wi-Fi name and password on the back of the worship folder.
