WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.
PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Our Father in heaven, you have given me this very gift, the ability to come to you in prayer. Forgive my sins of neglecting such a gift or of forgetting the privilege of approaching your throne. Hear me now as I worship you in confession, in petition, in praise, and in thanksgiving, and hear me for the sake of the One who gave himself for me. In him and through him I pray to you. Amen.

THANK YOU FOR MOVING HELP
Once again, thank you to those who helped out as we organized our storage shed at school. Your love and support for the school ministry is seen and very much appreciated!
PASTOR GROTH’S CALL TO MT. CALVARY
Pastor Groth has received a call to serve as pastor of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Redding and Anderson, CA. This means he will take time to gather information on both calls he currently has, the one here at St. Paul’s in Bangor and the one he has received from Mt. Calvary. Pray for Pastor Groth as he deliberates where he can best serve the kingdom of God. If you would like to discuss the ministry at St. Paul’s with Pastor Groth, reach out via email, text, or phone.
TWO POSITIONS AT ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL
Do you have a love for children, their education, and nurturing those children in the gospel? St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Bangor has openings for an afternoon Surround Care position from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on weekdays during the school year. We also have a need for a Teacher’s Aide in our new and exciting 3K-4K Program, which will be at needed times during school days. If you are interested in either or both positions, let us know. We have the flexibility to combine the Surround Care position with the Teacher’s Aide position if that is desired. Please contact Pastor Groth at 608-486-2754 or pastor@stpaulsbangor.com.
3K/4K CLASSROOM NEEDS
We’re gearing up and getting things in place for our new 3K/4K classroom this coming fall. If you’d like to help out purchasing some items for use in the classroom, please see the Amazon Wishlist linked in the QR code.
BANGOR FUN DAZE PARADE
The Bangor Fun Daze parade will be Sunday, August 10th, at noon. If you would like to walk with our float and hand out candy and invites to church and school, meet us by the Bangor elementary school where we’ll be lined up. You can also sport your St. Paul’s shirt if you’ve got one. We’re excited for our St. Paul’s army to once again represent our church and school family to our community!
OWLS MEETING
The Coulee Region OWLS will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12:00 noon at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Avenue South, La Crosse for a Potluck Luncheon. Please bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Coffee will be provided. All church members – men and women age 55 or older – are welcome. The program will be the Principal of Luther High School, Jon Beilke, telling us “What Is New at Luther High”. Please come for a visit, enjoy the friends you meet, a good lunch, and an excellent program. There will be a free will offering.
PRAYERS
This week we keep in our prayers: Brian Berg, Gary and Christa Lemke, Clarice Koltermann, Herb Miller, John Langrehr, Ron Meyer, Liz Michaels, Dan Chandler, and Patsy Rich.
