WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.
PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
God in heaven, you are the living God, the only true God. Cleanse me today of my idolatry and when I fail to say no to things that try to take the place of your will. Point me to Jesus, the One who made your will to save me his top priority. Bless my praise and thanks of him in this service today, and help me always see him as my greatest treasure. In him I pray confidently. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
MISSIONS SUNDAY
We will wrap up our worship series on “The Need for Followership” with a Missions Festival during our worship on October 20th. Rev. Paul Prange, the Chairman of the Joint Mission Council, will share with us the joint mission efforts of the Bangla people in Detroit, Windsor (Ontario), and Bangladesh in between services. What a blessing that we get to join together in ministry with others around the world and especially with our gracious God!
GRANDPARENT & GRANDFRIEND DAY
You are cordially invited to be a guest at our Grandparents’ Day celebration at St. Paul’s School on October 22nd. Our program will begin at 2:00 pm followed by snacks and fellowship. Please RSVP with Shelly by calling the school at 608-486-2641 or emailing secretary@stpaulsbangor.com.
GOOD STEWARD REPORT AND VOLUNTEERS
God’s grace and mercy continue to be very evident at Good Steward. After the first two-thirds of this year, our total receipts are $581,080. This is $74,000 ahead of last year. And it is $18,600 more than our budget estimate. We thank God for His continuing blessings. And we pray that He will continue to bless us and Luther High School during the rest of this year. We are thankful for all of the volunteers who work at Good Steward. At the present time we could use more volunteers especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Those who do volunteer for a minimum number of hours in a year are given the privilege of nominating students for a grant. The time period to work for this privilege is June 1 of one year until May 31 of the next year. Anyone interested in volunteering or has questions about volunteering is encouraged to contact our Store Manager, Jeff (608-779-9763).
