LOOKING AHEAD TO LENT
Weekly Wednesday Lenten services begin Ash Wednesday, February 18 (9:00 am & 7:00 pm). Communion (Individual Cup). Confirmation students will take sermon notes for the 6 Wed. services, as well as on Maundy Thur., Good Fri. and Easter.
EDUCATION COMMITTEE & CHURCH COUNCIL NOTES
Facility study of current school building continues. Surveys regarding this will be passed out at school and church soon. Long-range school plans continue to be discussed. Current balance in new school fund is $50,423.80. Religion curriculum study by faculty is underway, evaluating materials from Northwestern & Concordia Publishing Houses. Good Steward is now accepting volunteer work to be applied to both Luther Student tuition and also for Lutheran Elementary School tuition and fee assistance. Forms and informational sheets are available at the door. Education Committee & Church Council meet jointly after the Lenten Service on March 4. Stewardship-Evangelism meets after the Lenten service on Feb. 25.
igKnightion Robotics Scrimmage – The Luther High School robotics team will be hosting the 4th Annual Seven Rivers Robotics Coalition Scrimmage, which takes place on February 15 in the Aux Gym at Luther. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 15-20 robotics teams expected. Admission is free, and concessions will be served.
