Colossians 1:1-14 – Why It’s the One Thing Needed

Colossians 1:1-14 – Why It’s the One Thing Needed

WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.

PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Lord Jesus, there are so many things in life I can consider as more needed than your Word sometimes. Help me give my undivided attention to your Word today so that I can remember just how needed it is. Pronounce your grace and promises to me so that I can be strengthened in my love of and longing for your gospel message. In your name I pray. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

STORAGE MOVING AND PURGING HELP

We have another day of help needed as we ready the school for the next school year. This time our attention will be given to organizing/maximizing space in the storage shed and helping purge any unneeded items. On Wednesday, July 23rd, at 5:00 pm, if you are able to help move or provide a truck and/or trailer to move purged items, it would be greatly appreciated. Many hands make for light work! (Substitute days in case of rain would be July 29th or 30th.) Thank you!

PASTOR GROTH’S CALL TO MT. CALVARY

Pastor Groth has received a call to serve as pastor of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Redding and Anderson, CA. This means he will take time to gather information on both calls he currently has, the one here at St. Paul’s in Bangor and the one he has received from Mt. Calvary. Pray for Pastor Groth as he deliberates where he can best serve the kingdom of God. If you would like to discuss the ministry at St. Paul’s with Pastor Groth, reach out via email, text, or phone.

TWO POSITIONS AT ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL

Do you have a love for children, their education, and nurturing those children in the gospel? St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Bangor has openings for an afternoon Surround Care position from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on weekdays during the school year. We also have a need for a Teacher’s Aide in our new and exciting 3K-4K Program, which will be at needed times during school days. If you are interested in either or both positions, let us know. We have the flexibility to combine the Surround Care position with the Teacher’s Aide position if that is desired. Please contact Pastor Groth at 608-486-2754 or pastor@stpaulsbangor.com.

3K/4K CLASSROOM NEEDS

We’re gearing up and getting things in place for our new 3K/4K classroom this coming fall. If you’d like to help out purchasing some items for use in the classroom, please see the Amazon Wishlist linked in the QR code.
