WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.
PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Lord Jesus, my sin is so burdensome that I can feel like I’m going to crumble under the weight of my guilt. Open not only my ears but especially my heart to the words of John today that you are the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world—including me. Strengthen my faith in your forgiveness that I can walk faithfully for you each day. In your grace I pray. Amen.

MIDWEEK STUDY
For our midweek study, we are gathering together to watch an episode from season one of The Chosen, a TV show about the Gospels’ account of Jesus’ ministry and his disciples. Following each episode (or potions of each episode) we will discuss application questions, the biblical accuracy of the show’s depiction, etc. Join us on Tuesday nights or Wednesday mornings as we reflect on what our Savior’s life and ministry might have looked like.

LIVE NATIVITY THANK YOU
A big thank you to all those who gave of their time, and comfort, on those cold days, to make Live Nativity possible this year. Thousands of people came through and witnessed the true meaning of Christmas and were reminded of Christ’s sacrifice for us. What a beautiful witness to our faith! We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!

SELFISH OR SELFLESS
On Sunday February 1st, from 2:00-3:00 pm, Christ Lutheran in West Salem will be hosting a workshop by Christian Family Solutions called Self-ish or Self-less: Taking the “I” Out of Service. In most instances, we serve others selflessly—or at least we think we do. This workshop is designed to help participants examine motivation, payoffs, boundaries. relational issues, and other obstacles that sometimes stand in the way of true service to others. Through a series of scenarios, participants will reframe thoughts and actions to practice coming from a more selfless position in service to others.
PRAYERS
This week we keep in our prayers: Brian Berg, Gary and Christa Lemke, Clarice Koltermann, Marcie Richmond, Herb Miller, Ron and Marilyn Meyer, Dan Chandler, Vivian Havens, Kelly Langrehr, and the family of Rev. Bob Gerke.
