LWMS FALL RALLY – The Fall Rally of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society of the Scenic Coulee Circuit will meet on Saturday, October 22, at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church in West Salem. Registration: 9:30 a.m. Meeting 10:00 a.m. Mrs. Pieter Ried, wife of Missionary Pieter Ried, will be the speaker.

AREA WELS REFORMATION RALLY is October 30, 3:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, La Crosse.

LADIES AID NOTES – On Thursday, the St. Paul’s Ladies Aid generously voted to allocate approximately $500 for the purchase of 33 copies of Christian Worship Supplement for use by our adult and children’s choirs. The Ladies Aid also voted to send $500 to our synod’s African Medical Mission. The St. Paul’s Ladies Aid will be hosting the annual Christmas Tea on Thursday, Dec 8 at 7:00 p.m. This is for ALL ladies of the congregation and their guests. The Ladies Aid is looking for a few volunteers from the congregation to help on the kitchen committee that evening. If you are able and willing, please call Ladies Aid President Norma Anderson (486- 2850) by October 20. Thank you.

A BENEFIT for Scott Herman (who has been diagnosed with ALS) will be held on Sun., Nov. 6, from 12 – 4 pm at the Log Cabin. Info posted downstairs.

JOSEPH: FROM THE PIT TO THE PALACE is the fall production of Luther High School’s Children’s Theater. This lively tale about the life of Joseph brings with it the lesson of learning to trust in God’s promises no matter what our situation in life. The public is invited to attend the performance Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 p.m. General admission tickets will be sold at the door – $5 for adults and $3 for students/children.
