SERMON SERIES – Last Sunday we began a sermon series on St. Paul’s epistle (letter) to the Ephesians Ephesians has only 6 chapters, but they are weighty chapters, meant to be taken in smaller bites. The first half of the letter tells us how God drew us into the circle of His love – electing (choosing) us from eternity – in order bring us to faith by grace alone through the gospel – to gather us into His arms with other believers in the Holy Christian Church. The second half tells us how we live out our lives in this circle of God’s love – as husbands and wives, parents and children, labor and management. The letter concludes with a dramatic portrayal of our battle with the dark powers and a list of the armor with which God has equipped us – the shield of faith, the sword of the Spirit, etc. We invite you to join us each Sunday as we grow in grace and knowledge.
