At the call meeting on Sunday, February 14, 2021, the congregation extended a Call to Pastor Daniel Frey who serves at Gethsemane Lutheran in Lees Summit, MO to be our pastor. Please keep him in your prayers as he considers the call we have extended to him and feel free to send him an email with prayers and encouragement: pastordanfrey@gmail.com
A Note from the Church Council
On Ash Wednesday and February 21 st we experienced a welcome problem. We did not have adequate seating for those services with our social distancing set up. We most certainly do not wish to turn anyone away from church. We also want to be respectful of those who have concerns and wish to maintain the current level of social distancing. If the problem arises again, our ushers will handle the need for more seating with specific consideration given to everyone involved. We know there are some who would not be comfortable with other folks sitting in the pew in front or behind them. There are some who do not have that concern. Therefore, if we are in a situation where an usher has to find more seating, please do not hesitate to communicate your desires to the usher. We will also be opening up the balcony for seating. However, to respect the concerns of the organist, it will be mandatory to wear a mask in the balcony. Also, please be aware that due to “fog up” issues, it is sometimes necessary for an organist to remove her mask during playing. Therefore, we will keep the front two pews of the balcony open to maintain adequate social distancing. We appreciate your help in getting through this challenging time.
Lenten Services will be held on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm only.
Easter Services will be at 7:30 am and 9:30 am.
