Thanks to an anonymous donor, a complimentary copy is being placed into the hands of each household after services. Complimentary copies are also being provided on the book shelves of the church upstairs and downstairs for Bible classes, and on the shelves at our school for various Bible studies. Children of appropriate age at St. Paul’s School and Sunday school will also receive copies. Additional copies of the EHV, as well as black, leather-bound gift editions are also available for purchase through our synod’s Northwestern Publishing House (1-800-662-6022 or nph.net). A Study Bible edition of the EHV with notes, maps, etc. is in the process of being produced. (A sample of this Study Bible (the book of Acts) can be downloaded at wartburgproject.org This Wartburg Project website also contains much information about the EHV, along with a “Facts & Questions” site that you might find interesting. Since so many copies will be circulating among us, please write your name into your personal copy!
QUARTERLY VOTERS MEETING will be held today, July 28, 1:00 p.m. downstairs. On the agenda will be the Council’s recommendation to the voters to accept the recommendation of the School Building Committee that the current school building undergo a total renovation rather than building new. (An informational meeting was provided to all our members on July 14 between services to explain the rationale behind the recommendation, so that any of our members may express their concerns to our leaders or voters prior to today’s voters meeting).
