WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.
PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Lord Jesus, believing in you brings with it many difficulties for me in this sin-filled world. Abide with me, I pray, and give me strength to bear the crosses you’ve given me in your name. Remind me of your abiding love shown in your cross-bearing for me and of the eternal goal you have in mind in everything. Help me be an example for others that they might be strengthened in their trust of you as well. In your name I pray. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
DIVINE CALL ACCEPTED (& GIFT CARD SHOWER)
We praise God for leading Mr. Jon Lindemann to accept our call to teach 7th and 8th grades and serve as vice principal and athletic director. Please pray for the Lindemanns as they prepare to move to the area. If there’s any way you can help, we’ll communicate that to you.
And here’s the first way: We’re going to be collecting cards and gift cards the next few weeks at church to welcome the Lindemanns and aid in their transition to Bangor. Please place your cards in the designated spot in the church lobby.
QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING
Our quarterly voters’ meeting is today, July 10, at 11:15 am, in the church basement.
ST. PAUL’S @ THE COUNTY FAIR
We will be manning the booth at the La Crosse County Fair on Wednesday, July 20, from 5:00-10:00 pm. We had a good group of people at last year’s fair but would always love a large crew of volunteers to show support for our church. If you’re able to donate items (such as school supplies) or help out the day of, even if only for a portion of the time, please contact either Pastor Groth or our Stewardship-Evangelism chairman Bart Horstman. Please also sign up on the County Fair Volunteer signup sheet on the bulletin board in the church lobby. Thank you!
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT ST. PAUL’S
St. Paul’s School has something the public school does not: Christ is taught and proclaimed in every classroom every day. If you or someone you know would be interested in Christian education for their child(ren) in grades Pre-K through 8th grade next year, contact Pastor Groth to set up a tour.
LOGGERS AND LUTHER
Luther High will be having a fundraising event at the La Crosse Loggers game on Sunday, August 7. Gates open at 4:00 pm. If interested, see the flyer posted on the church lobby bulletin board.
HELP ST. PAUL’S FINANCIALLY WITH SCRIP
Purchase gift cards to pay for everyday (and not-so-everyday) expenses. Anyone can purchase the cards and then you designate who gets the scrip credit. You can designate a specific family or the credit will go to the general fee assistance fund. Families will get 75% of the value of your purchase and the other 25% goes into the scrip fund account to be able to have some cards on hand and be used toward the school fund that the Education Committee will designate. Families will then be able to use the credit that was built up over the year (July 1 – June 30) and can choose to apply that credit towards next school year’s tuition.
Paper order forms are located in the church entryway and the scrip box is located in the basement. There is also a scrip box at school outside the office. Orders are due the 15th of each month. You can also order through the RaiseRight app. You would need to contact Janel to get our school enrollment code to get connected.
Any questions please contact Janel Lochen 608-386-4243 or scrip@stpaulsbangor.com
