WELCOME TO WORSHIP
In the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to St. Paul’s. We especially welcome our guests who have joined us today. We pray that your soul will be strengthened by the good news of God’s forgiveness through Jesus.
PRAYER IN PREPARATION FOR TODAY’S WORSHIP
Gracious Father in heaven, you desire the salvation of all people. You have also made me a part of your plan to share the message of Christ crucified for the world. Forgive my fear and apprehension and also my excuses for not sharing your gospel with those around me. Equip me today and build up my courage to share the greatest news ever given. In Christ my Savior’s name I pray. Amen.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
ANNIVERSARY OF THE PRESENTATION OF THE AUGSBURG CONFESSION
June 25th marks the day in 1530 when God-fearing leaders took their stand for the gospel and presented their confession of faith before Emperor Charles V in Augsburg, Germany. Even more than October 31st this day marks the birth of the Lutheran Church. Centered in Christ and focused on the free gift of salvation by grace through faith, the Augsburg Confession continues to shape what we believe, teach, and confess today.
SUMMER BIBLE INFORMATION CLASS
We have started our summer Bible Information Class for those who would like to know more about what we believe and teach, perhaps become members, or even just get a refresher in the foundational truths of Scripture. Classes are on Thursdays at 6:00 pm throughout the summer. Free childcare will be provided. If you missed the first one but would still like to attend, let Pastor Groth know and we get you caught up for the remaining lessons.
SURROUND CARE POSITION @ ST. PAUL’S SCHOOL
Next school year we will be offering surround care (before and after school care) to St. Paul’s students. If you or another WELS member would be interested in serving as surround care helper for the afternoon session (3:00-6:00 pm), please email Pastor Groth (pastor@stpaulsbangor.com) for a job description and with any questions.
HELP WITH MOVING CLASSROOMS
We’ve got a big summer planned at our school as we prepare for next school year. We could use your help moving the classroom items around as the floors get waxed. The last moving day is Wednesday, June 25th, at 5:00 pm. It would be helpful if our wonderful volunteers had any moving carts or dollies that could aid in moving heavy items. Classrooms and drop zones will be labeled so it will be clear for move out and move in of the classroom materials. Many hands make light work! Thank you in advance for your help!
ST. PAUL’S @ THE COUNTY FAIR
We will be manning the WELS booth at the La Crosse County Fair on Wednesday, July 16th, from 5:00 until about 9:00 pm. If you are able to help visit with passers by and hand out prizes and Bible-related gifts, come on down to the booth for any amount of time you can give. (There might even be some cheese curds in it for you. 😉 ). If you would like to give school supplies, backpacks, or faith-related gifts for the prize wheel, please drop those off in the lobby anytime prior to the 16th.
