A REMINDER ABOUT SUNDAY SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
In Sunday School (9:10 am – 9:50 am) the children are currently practicing for the Christmas Eve children’s service. Information on rehearsals at church is being sent home. It is assumed that parents who do not send their children to our Lutheran Elementary School will surely want to provide their children with this weekly opportunity to learn the ABC’s of Bible History and Doctrine. Sunday School attendance is required for those in Public School Confirmation Class. All children are invited!
A DIVINE CALL has been extended to Miss Megan Lepke to serve as teacher of grades 1-2 at our St. Paul’s School. Miss Lepke, 25, has served at St. John’s in Antigua and currently serves part-time at First Lutheran in La Crosse. Please keep her in your prayers as she deliberates the Call. With the retirement of Mrs. Beth Schmeling at the end of this school year, our alignment for the classrooms next year (2018-2019 school year) will be: Mrs. Gwen Manke – Pre-school & Kindergarten; a new teacher for Grades 1 & 2; Mr. Eric Duve – Grades 3 & 4; Miss Karen Bauer– Grades 5 & 6; Mr. Richard Bakken – Principal and Grades 7 & 8.
AT THE DOOR – New edition of Meditations. Also, Complimentary Copies of EHV New Testament & Psalms for those who may not have received one yet. THE EHV (New Testament & Psalms) is now also globally online for free at biblegateway.com Click on the arrow at the top right and scroll down to Evangelical Heritage Version.
