WEDDING –  Ashley Urbanek & Brandon Leiterman exchanged marriage vows before our altar yesterday.

CONFIRMATION will take place next Sunday, June 21, 10:00 a.m. Pictures will be taken at 9 a.m. sharp that day. It is our hope that family and friends of confirmands will have the necessary space as others may choose to attend the first service or the Monday evening service.

NEW USHER SCHEDULES are in the narthex.

AS ANNOUNCED LAST WEEK – Pastor Hefti has set October 1, 2020 as the official date for his retirement.  He will conduct his final service at St. Paul’s on Sunday, September 27 and take the final few days of September to attend to moving details.  Hopefully the approximate lead time of four months will provide some time for beginning the Call process and getting the new school year underway.  A “pre-Call” meeting of the congregation will be scheduled by and presided over by our District President, Pastor Michael Jensen, with the assistance of our circuit pastors, Pastor Joel Neumann and Pastor Andrew Schultz.  Details will be announced.  After 41 years in the pastoral ministry, 36 of those years in Bangor, Pastor & Mrs. Hefti are deeply grateful and humbled by the kindness shown to them.

COPIES OF OUR SHUT-IN LIST are on the table in the entry.  Many cannot be visited at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions.  Please keep them in your prayers, and where possible perhaps give them a phone call of encouragement.  There are others who receive private communion from time to time, but prefer not to be on the list.

PASTORAL VISITATIONSNursing homes and hospitals are still restricting regular access at this time.  For the safety of everyone and for the protection of our shut-ins, usual pastoral visits will be delayed.    In urgent circumstances, do not hesitate to phone the pastor (486-2754) and he will be happy to minister to you on a personal basis.
