SUMMER READING
This is the time of year when advertisers sell books by advising folks to put 5 or 10 books on their “summer reading list.” Sometimes life may slow down enough for folks to spend some time reading the latest trending novel or biography. But there is no better Book than the one which God has mercifully placed into our hands and before our eyes. This summer, why not add the Holy Scriptures – or at least of part of the Scriptures – to your summer reading list? On the ledge as you come up the stairs to the narthex are three different Bible-reading plans. A one-year plan for reading the whole Bible, a three-year plan for getting through the whole Bible, and a 90-day plan for reading through the New Testament. This last one is a great summer opportunity to read through the Evangelical Heritage Version (EHV) New Testament at an easy pace during the summer months. You will be glad you did. It will bring real rest to your weary soul.
