THE WARTBURG PROJECT – AN UPDATE
The Wartburg Project (named after the castle where Luther translated the New Testament) is a group of some 100 WELS & ELS Lutheran pastors and professors who are working together to produce a new translation of the Bible. At this point, all of the New Testament books have been translated and submitted to Northwestern Publishing House. A promotional edition of the New Testament and Psalms will be published in 2017 to mark the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. First drafts of many of the Old Testament books are completed and the technical review process is underway. To learn more, go to wartburgproject.org
