WARTBURG PROJECT UPDATE
The Wartburg Project is a group of more than 100 WELS & ELS pastors and professors who are producing a fresh translation of the Bible. The New Testament and Psalms have been completed and turned over to Northwestern Publishing House for publication in 2017 – the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation. Initial drafts of almost all of the Old Testament books have been done. An official name for the translation itself has now been chosen: The Holy Bible: Evangelical Heritage Version (EHV). An updated version of the Gospel of Matthew is now available (copyright 2016, EHV). The website is wartburgproject.org/
