Pastor Dan Olson is our guest preacher today. Pastor Dan Olson serves at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Onalaska, WI. Pastor Steven Olson and Gina are worshipping at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church today in Hastings, Nebraska celebrating with them on their 75th anniversary.
Our prayers today will include a prayer for the Vilas Lash family as they grieve and also a prayer for Vicki Chapiewsky who is hospitalized at Gundersen Health Center.
With the Lord – Vilas Lash passed away on Wednesday, November 4. Funeral arrangements are still pending. Please keep Janice Lash and their extended family in your prayers. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on, says the Lord, for they shall rest from their labor and their works will follow them.”
Hospitalized at Gundersen Health Center is Vicki Chapiewsky.
Mrs. Penny Adickes has accepted the Divine Call we extended to her to teach Grades 1-2.
St. Paul’s Ladies Aid has given $300 toward Pastor Hefti’s Retirement Party that was held on September 27.
Luther High Music Dept. Fruit Sale: Luther students will be taking orders in the church basement between services every Sunday through 11/15/20 to raise funds for the Music Department, or you may contact Joshua Stratman at 608-486-4735.
Deer Hunter’s Communion! There will be holy communion offered on Wednesday, November 26 at the 7 pm service. Thanksgiving Day worship is at 9 am.
People are encouraged to greet one another before and after the service. In this way, you express encouragement to your fellow worshippers to continue living life to the glory of God.
November Worship Services:
The 4 Sundays in November are known as “End Times” Sundays. They are the last 4 Sundays of the Christian church year. Each Sunday has a different theme.
November 8 – Last Judgment is a reminder that the end of the world is approaching.
November 15 – Saints Triumphant is a peek into heaven at the joy that awaits us there.
November 22 – Christ the King Sunday is a reminder that our Savior reigns forever!
November 25/26 – National Day of Thanksgiving.
November 29 – 1st Sunday in the New Christian Church year – Advent!
