NOTES FROM QUARTERLY MEETING
Sign-up Sheet For Help With Snow Removal is on entryway table. For those who do not wish to “sign-up” as regulars, show up with a shovel if you can and when you can in the event of snow storms. We thank all of you in advance! School enrollment stands at 43 (36 in K-8 & 7 in Pre-K). A number of souls who have not responded to years-long, loving invitations to return to worship may be presented to the voters for release due to no response. Now is the time for family and friends to reach out to such souls to return and resolve any spiritual issues in a God-pleasing way. School Building Chairman Dan Arndt reported that plans for renovation are on track with bids anticipated in January or February for presentation to the voters. A need for more time for Sunday School prompted a discussion of how best to fill this need for more Bible instruction for our public school students. Various options were suggested, including more time between services, different time slots for classes during the week, etc. Council will discuss the best ways to gather congregational input for the voters to consider.
The budget for 2020 was adopted. The net annual budget for 2020 will be $536,329.27. The net weekly budget will be $10,314.02. (This net budget does not include the anticipated income of $36,000.00 from the parents of our school children in annual fees, etc.). This new budget includes an anticipated annual school renovation mortgage of $18,000. Nominating Committee approved: Andy Lochen, Steve Jandt, Tim Johnson. Committee meets this Wed. at 6 p.m. at school.
DONATIONS of cash or non-perishable food items are being received here at the church for the local food pantry through November 17.
