“CROSS-EXAMINATIONS”

Our Lenten sermon series this season will take the form of a “cross-examination” at a courtroom trial.  Each Bible text will present a charge or question which leads to an “examination.” Much of the Passion History of our Savior shows Christ Jesus on trial before Caiphas and Pilate.  But the textual questions posed in our “cross-examinations” place Christ on trial in the courtroom of your heart and mine.  They also place us on trial in the courtroom of the Most…
